Are you sure? I could have many questions :) Well tnx, you are very kind. Ok, i'm interested in procedure - what you do when you read case study? right now i'm reading about dell(dell's working capital) and I would like to practise to see if I am HBS material. should I make notes? what should I think about? should I ask myself questions etc? can you tell me how this looks like for real?

Hi Pero,

Sorry for the delay in responding!

When you are an HBS student, you have access to a Course Platform where the professors post discussion questions for the case you are assigned to read, but since you don't have access to those questions, it's going to be pretty hard for you to use the Dell case effectively. Cases are often utilized in different ways depending on the problem/solution the professor is trying to illustrate.

My suggestions? Rather than trying to "test" yourself using cases that in all honesty will probably just frustrate you more than help you, why don't you go onto the HBS Web site and watch some of the videos that illustrate the case method in action. You could also take a practice GMAT test online to see if your scores are in range (although they can obviously improve greatly with studying!).

I hope that's helpful!
Gabby
